The experience was profound. An astonishing journey to within which invoked such clarity as to "why" I processed and responded to life the way that I did (Notice past tense reference). Finally, comprehension and release. Marilyn is very experienced and an expert to facilitate your therapy. There are a multitude of factors that must be addressed prior to the therapy. Do not question her gift and intelligence, nor talk yourself out of partaking in this life-changing, catalyst moment and beneficial experience. If you do - Welcome to the authentic you, all of the clutter extracted - finally!
The professionalism of the staff at Resilience Integrative Wellness was evident in their attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols, from my first interaction I knew that my well-being was their top priority. Any questions I had regarding Ketamine therapy was answered in detail. Mental health services are typically expensive and inaccessible, but for the services they offer Resilience is definitely worth it!
I have always wanted to try this new and upcoming treatment but I had a million questions. I had seen celebrities speaking of this as a treatment for themself and others as treatment for their PTSD and it was life changing. No one wants to feel like they are controlled by their symptoms of fear. Even after going through my own trauma healing, I was re triggered so quickly as if I had no treatment at all. I found myself unable to function with debilitating symptoms where I wanted to get back to my life where I am in control. The one where I am happy and live with gratitude making my own choices. Where I take time to meditate and find my sense of peace and calm. In addition, I failed 3 antidepressants, a mood stabilizer, 3 anxiety medications. Some caused unwanted side effects that I could not justify staying on them even though they were helpful. I felt trapped in a cycle of insomnia, obsessive / anxious thoughts, and was tearful all the time. I went in for my first infusion. I was so grateful when I walked in. The office is a beautiful turquoise calming color. The medical team was welcoming, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure I felt safe and secure. I was interviewed by Marilyn, a seasoned nurse anesthetist that has decades of experience. She told me she was an artist and painted all the paintings on the walls. I also met with a Nurse, Ajay who has a calming and professional demeanor. I sat in a big comfy stair that reclined. They gave me all these options of different colors of lights I could look at on the wall. I began the infusion with the lowest dose. I was super nervous and of course had a lot of questions. I never took street drugs, I don't drink alcohol, and was raised pretty religious, so had a lot of fear and apprehension prior. I am an anxious person who worries all the time. I worried if I would have a bad or scary experience that may stick with me. But I followed my gut and trusted the process. The process allowed me to get back to my core of love and light. It is an interesting experience but your body does not move but you are awake, and half tired. I was struggling with all those symptoms above, but in that treatment, I was able to find a place of peace and calm that I would get when I meditated. I was unable to go to that place before because all those symptoms were getting in the way. When I finished, I felt a little nauseous but I wasn’t surprised as that is common with me. I also felt it was strong and he said next time we would try a little bit lower dose. So, I like the fact that I was listen to and heard. They were willing to work with me. I feel optimistic and I was super excited to schedule my next session.
Out of all the different ketamine clinics in SD, this was by far the most affordable!! Staff were really friendly and made me feel comfortable, as I haven't ever experienced ketamine treatments before and didn't know what to expect. Had an awesome session, and Ajay, Marilyn, and the staff offered excellent support, and I look forward to my upcoming sessions!
I had such a great experience dealing with the staff that work at Resilience Integrative. I was referred to them by my doctor, and they went above and beyond my expectations for the duration of my treatments. After doing months of research, I found them to be the most affordable clinic in San Diego and some of the most wonderful people i've ever worked with!
