I saw this Dr for a little over a year. When I explained I could no longer afford $300 every month to see him and wondered if I could come on a “ need to” basis, he refused and said that doesn’t work. This is a huge disservice to people who need help, but cannot afford a monthly service. I felt like he turned his back on me when I needed support. After several different psych people, I’ve lost all hope and trust in the psych/medical profession. They all just want money, not to truly help people. I understand the need to be paid for your services, but I wasn’t asking for free service. I was asking for less appointments so I can come when I can afford it.
Highly respected and skilled psychiatrist! Absolutely recommend!
Professional, compassionate, thorough. Dr. Armbruster discussed my issues with tact and was not at all condescending, belittling, or judgmental. He made a point to make me feel involved with my care and wanted me to make informed decisions with my mental health. Highly recommend.
I have never felt like going to see a specialist was this much of a waste of time in my entire life. Not only did this doctor condescend to me, he made me feel worse with medication I didn’t need and helped land me in the hospital. Because of him I have little to no trust for the psychiatric field. He’s just another quack. Save your money and go absolutely anywhere, but here. If I could give a zero star rating, i would.
I had a horrible experience with Michael Armbruster. At the end of my meeting he wanted to prescribe me drugs that would help me go out and party more, when I told him I am not here for that I am here for my problems focusing and concentrating on singular tasks he said lets deal with your social anxiety disregarding my main reason for coming to his office. At this moment I am looking at many avenues to get help and I am wasting more time. Office is run down and old. I would not recommend Michael Armbruster to anyone thinking of getting help.
