I cannot put into words how indebted I am to Dr Singh. I was not sure what I had, as past diagnoses by other doctors did not seem to explain why my life had radically changed. I googled ‘pain’ and ‘pain clinic’ in the middle of the night in tears realising I simply could not live like this, having done so for five and a half years, and came across Dr Singh and the London Pain Clinic. Dr Singh in my first appointment examined me and gave me a small treatment programme. The advice he gave me, enabled me to do a very long walk which was something I had not been able to do in five years. In my second and third appointment he suggested a change of medication tailored to my requirements, added more to my treatment plan as well as giving me answers in relation to my health condition. He is so kind, humorous and really listened to what I had to say rather than prescribe a generic list of solutions . I also need to mention Sara and Emma for always helping me with my queries in a timely way. I wholeheartedly recommend the London Pain Clinic for anyone who is struggling to find answers in relation to their pain. Dr Singh is a gem - thank you so much.
Website said they were open good Friday but wasn't when I telephoned (to request an initial appointment and consultation). When first submitted an online enquiry form I received a generic email which didn't answer my one question, I replied, 'Sorry 'I'm confused why you have sent me a generic email and not answered my question'? Admin staff not very professional or friendly via email. No confirmation email or text after appointment booked. Had to pay full price before even appointment. I can understand paying a deposit but not the full price beforehand. No mention of I had to go to 25 Harley Street not 9 Harley Street. The receptionist at no. 9 was not friendly or welcoming (I was shocked as I've been a receptionist for many years and would never behave that way). When I went to no. 25 they had no record of my appointment. Had to complete a paper registration form even though completed online (which took hours to complete, far too long!) The day after appointment I receive an email requesting a review (but no email confirming appointment which I found odd). When I received a letter via email from the doctor I saw I was only cc'd in as it was to my GP surgery. Surely being the patient I should have received my own letter. I wasn't happy as with the content of letter after appointment as I wasn't listened to. Attached was my original online forms to them, I wasn't made aware my GP surgery would be receiving these as I thought it was confidential. Also attached was a Samsung Health app to download, I don't know what that about as not explained so I didn't download. In view of all the above I decided to go elsewhere...
London Pain Clinic is a complete revelation. I had an encouraging first meeting with Dr Chris Jenner, who was optimistic and upbeat. Subsequently I had a series of injections into my back in the Weymouth Street Hospital. Within 24 hours, the pain in my back had lessened by approx. 80%, and I found that I could stand upright again. Dr Jenner has changed my life for me, and I can't say how grateful I am. At the beginning of March, I went into Weymouth Street Hospital again when Dr Jenner did more injections and also denervation. The following day, I woke up without pain. It was wonderful and I feel so much better. I am full of praise for what Dr Jenner does.
I made an appointment to see Dr Jenner in late September as I was suffering with the most horrendous neuropathic pain following a Covid infection in March and I can honestly say it was the best thing I could ever have done. Dr Jenner was absolutely nothing what I expected (thank goodness). He is the most amazingly positive cheerful man who convinces you he will find a plan to reduce your pain to a minimum if not eliminate it completely. Within eight weeks of a detailed treatment plan and support by Jenner my pain has reduced by 50%. When I have needed to contact him between consultations the London Pain Clinic secretaries have been wonderful. Emails to them are answered within no time at all and make you feel as nothing is to much trouble. I can't thank them or Dr Jenner enough for giving me back my life (seriously) as I have never felt so much debilitating pain. It is also brilliant that I don't have to keep travelling to London to see Dr Jenner as they offer telephone and zoom appointments too.
The care I have received from Dr Jenner has been exceptional. He has always been clear with his explanations and really takes the time to listen. I have never been pressured into making a choice and his treatment plan contains a number of pathways over which I have full choice. I have felt a significant improvement in my health. Seeing Dr Jenner is one of the best decisions I have ever made.
