This office attempted to bill me $800+ for a 45 minute visit to their office for a consultation to determine whether their depression treatment would be right for me. I responded to one of their Instagram ads and filled out the form to express interest. On the phone, they made it sound like they would work with my insurance to make the treatment affordable and that they would provide me cost estimates of treatments once they processed my insurance. I was called in for an in-office "consultation", which based on information they provided, I was given the impression it would be covered by insurance or at-least treated as a free evaluation. At the office, I filled out a quick 2-3 page screener to gauge anxiety/depression symptoms over the past 2 weeks, and spoke with the psychiatrist for 45 minutes. Later I received an EOB from insurance for the visit for almost $900 out-of-network for being there 45 minutes. They are now insisting on payment for this visit and acting as if they're being generous by only asking for $500 for a 45 minute conversation. If you have Anthem insurance, avoid this provider. If you have other insurance, I'd recommend avoiding them anyway, since they're clearly over-charging insurance and making the healthcare industry more expensive for all of us. UPDATE, RESPONSE, 7/24/23: The business's response to my review makes it seem as if I'm writing a review in retaliation for not being "accepted" into their treatment. This is not the case at all. After my consultation, I was accepted into treatment pending their receipt of an annual physical with my PCP. In the meantime, I had a more pleasant experience doing a consultation with GREENBROOK TMS, and decided to receive treatment at that center instead. I'm glad I did. Greenbrook had been absolutely amazing and covered by my insurance. The passive aggressive responses Depression MD provides to their online reviewers makes me thankful I didn't follow through with them after they accepted me as a patient.
Dr. Harding and her team and so kind, patient and attentive. The office is so beautiful and modern. Speaking with Dr. Harding for 1 hour yesterday to prepare myself for my ketamine/Spravato journey was the most amazing conversation I ever had with a Psychiatrist. She listens whole heartedly, she is honest and real, provides so much information in a simple manner, and answered any question I had. I am so grateful that I found this practice and feel so comfortable in their hands. I highly recommend!!
I would rate this office 100/10 if I could. Dr Harding is so instrumental to the psychiatric specialty. I am so thankful to have fallen under her care almost a year ago. She is not biased, she involves you in your care and she makes you feel like you are more than a number. If you are honest, put in the work and make your care a collaboration instead of a homework assignment, you will go far! Although there is significant improvement to be made, I have made so much improvement being under her care and am firm that my outcomes would not be the same if I worked with another specialist. Her office staff and medical assistant are all wonderful and match her vibe!!!! This is top notch care in the hardest division of healthcare. I am beyond thankful!!
Visiting this office is truly a comforting solace during my ongoing struggle with depression. Everyone here exudes warmth and kindness, and you can tell that they are dedicated to helping you get back on the right track to feeling better. All my questions are always answered patiently and I have never felt unheard or unseen. I feel at ease knowing that my care is in good hands with people who honestly care. Thank you!!
I have been to a few doctors and this atmosphere is private, comfortable and you don't feel rushed. It's always a process and you have to trust it. They will get you to a better space if you do the work and trust the process. Just like everything you have your good and bad days there is no magic pill but here is a good start.
