I read through the other reviews before starting to write mine and I could just say “ditto” to all of theirs. My team through most of my 6 treatments were Sara and Christian and I can’t imagine a more caring duo. I had suffered with treatment resistant depression since the 90’s. I had thought about Ketamine for several years but thought it might be too fringe for me to try. I now hate that I wasted all that time. The treatment itself is quite an experience but that is the process to have the ketamine do its job in your brain and I looked forward to them. Don’t put this off from fear or anxiety about the process. It works like nothing else ever has. I am so grateful. One more thing, when you pull up to their location, it’s not fancy on the outside but the inside is clean, professional and full of love and caring.

I was in crisis when I heard about Ketamine treatments. I didn't quite know what to expect but was willing to try anything at this point. I filled out paperwork and spoke to a doctor. The process was easy but thorough. I was able to make my own appointments online which suited my schedule and gave me adequate amount of time to recover from each infusion. I met the doctor then filled out an initial survey with Sherri the nurse practitioner. The room I was taken to was quiet with an enormous TV streaming soothing videos and a recliner that was supportive. The technician started the IV with minimal pain a small blood pressure cuff was placed on my wrist to monitor my vital signs. My husband was able to set next to me during the treatment and hold my hand. I had a call bell around my neck if I needed it. Each treatment was different. I felt better after the first and by the sixth my life felt changed. This was my personal experience and I know it has to be different for each person. Austin Ketamine Specialists made me feel safe and supported during all six of my recommended treatments. I was so sad when I finished and knew I might not be back. They guided me though one of the most profound healing periods of my life. I recommend you research and ask a ton of questions about the treatment. If you decide to go with Ketamine treatment and need to come to Austin, I highly recommend Austin Ketamine Specialists and their caring and supportive staff. It was a wonderful and life changing experience for me.
