So much to write but here’s your canary in the mine shaft: When we finally settled my case, my lawyer sent me a draft settlement for review prior to sending to the opposing counsel for signature. The draft had the wrong names, typos, irrelevant paragraphs not related to the case, and mismatched font and formatting. My lawyer responded in a later e-mail with “thank you for your patients.” Again, I could on and on but do yourself a favor and trust the crowd on these ratings.
I hired Kristen Yurkowski to handle my divorce when she was with the Reed Lawfirm and followed her to Nealon and associates. Whereas Kristin is a phenomenal lawyer and has since returned to Reed Lawfirm in manassas, Nealon and Associates is horrible. The customer service is awful, they are disorganized billing is often wrong and it takes months to get anything resolved. Do not use this Lawfirm, run!
I used this firm for past 3 years in different matters, evry time I used them I got good result. For example: After a default judgment was granted to the plaintiff who sued for an open account. I called this firm seeking help. The lady who answered the phone was very helpful. I was lucky to have Bob Nealon himself to take my case, present me in the court, and win the trial. All was done in last minute. Thank you so much for the big help.
I met with a lawyer, back in mid August regarding trees falling and damaging my property from an empty lot next to my house; the lawyer, a nice fellow, was going on vacation and promised write a few letters for me upon his return, seemed more than reasonable, I never received any other notification, so I called mid September, to no avail; appears the attorney had a great time and no recollection of our meeting or commitment to doing a client/attorney task. Unfortunately its October another tree recently hit my garage roof damaging my gutter and roof.
Had them represent me when I got a 20 MPH over speeding ticket worth $120 in fines and 6 points. $500 bucks later, they got the ticket bumped down to $50 but wasn't able to do anything with the points. To make matters worse, I went in to pay the fine and the balance is actually $115! Needless to say I wouldn't recommend hiring them at all. I'm confident that I could have represented myself better but I didn't because I was out of state.
